This trio of photographs titled Taiga, were created in Los Angeles in December of 2022. They received “Honorable Mention” in this year’s International Photography Awards. Thousands of contestants all over the globe enter this contest. It is truly an honor to receive recognition after my first time entering work. People watching on a warm afternoon on Santa Monica Beach, the seagulls strike again.

Molly allowed me to make these photos after giving birth to her third child in May of 2023. I had messaged her the night prior about when her due date was, she responded that she was currently driving to the hospital to give birth.
